Clinton, William Jefferson – (Born May 29, 1917; Alive as of November 2012, Arkansas) Forty-Second President of the United States of America (January 20, 1993 – January 20, 2001) first President impeached by the house and tried by the Senate since Andrew Johnson, first elected to the Presidency due to third party candidate H. Ross Perot splitting the vote of conservative voters (much like Woodrow Wilson’s election when third party candidate Theodore Roosevelt’s Bull Moose Party split the conservative vote) a strong government activist in promoting the economy and reducing the deficits through government action and intervention (NAFTA and GATT) as opposed to the previous administrations laissez faire policies. (Democratic)
